Paul Shaw examines the life story of the great English composer Edward Elgar during the vital period of 1912-1921 when he was resident in Hampstead, including the history of the beautiful - now sadly demolished - arts and crafts mansion where he lived in Netherhall Gardens.

Paul Shaw is Archivist at St Mary’s Convent, Brentford.
